The program, aimed at introducing students to the vibrant world of hospitality, provided hands-on training and valuable insights into this dynamic industry.

The training session began with an engaging interaction led by the hotel’s Human Resources team, where students were introduced to the key principles of hospitality. Topics covered included the importance of maintaining a warm smile, staying calm and composed in various situations, delivering excellent customer service, and cultivating a positive, non-judgmental attitude when dealing with guests. The welcoming of school teachers, Heads of Departments (HODs) from the hotel, and a speech by the hotel's General Manager set the tone for the day.

The program focused on several key areas of hospitality, including:

  • Food & Beverage Service: Students learned cocktail and mocktail mixing, bartending, bottle flaring, napkin folding, and different table service setups, along with an introduction to coffee and tea sommelier services.
  • Culinary Arts: The culinary segment included cake and cupcake decorating, as well as vegetable and fruit carving.
  • Housekeeping: Students were taught bed-making techniques to understand the meticulousness of hotel housekeeping standards.

The training also featured a guided tour of various departments of the hotel, including the front desk, engineering, and IT departments, giving students a behind-the-scenes look into the hotel’s daily operations. A highlight of the event was a demonstration of advanced hotel technology, including a robot designed to enhance guest experiences and streamline operations.

The day’s event included refreshments for both students and teachers, and concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, where students received participation certificates and gifts, followed by a photo session. The program was highly interactive and informative, offering students a deeper understanding of the hospitality industry and an unforgettable learning experience.
