INTER-SCHOOL COMMQUEST 2024 AT GULF INDIAN SCHOOL:EMPOWERING YOUNG MINDS, SHAPING FUTURE LEADERS
The Gulf Indian School recently hosted a highly successful Inter-School CommQuest on November 20 and 21, 2024. The two-day extravaganza brought together talented students from various schools, providing a unique platform for them to showcase their skills, knowledge, and passion for commerce.
The event kicked off with a welcome speech and captivating welcome dance.Principal Dr Prashant Vasudev addressed the gathering and inspired the students to push their boundaries, unleash their creativity and make the most of this incredible opportunity. The Principal emphasised the importance of commerce and its relevance in today's world. The students were encouraged to think creatively, develop innovative ideas, and showcase their talents.
The judges for the various competitions for Day 1 were Mr Varughese Abraham Miss Roshni Merin, Mr Mathew John and Mr Shalom Philip Abraham. They were also honored during the ceremony, appreciating their valuable time and expertise. The judges were renowned experts in their respective fields, and their presence added credibility and prestige to the event.
The first day of the fest witnessed fierce competition among the participating teams, with events like Poster Palette , Counterpoint Crew and Reveal Rave taking center stage. The students displayed exceptional skills, creativity, and confidence as they presented their ideas, argued their points, and launched innovative products. The day concluded with an award ceremony, where the winners were felicitated with trophies and medals, acknowledging their outstanding performances followed by a vote of thanks.
The second day of the CommQuest 2024 fest was marked by the presence of esteemed judges Mr. Thomas K. Mathew, Mr. M.O. Oommen, and Mr. Mathew John, who brought their wealth of knowledge and experience to the event. The day's events were carefully curated to test participants' skills and knowledge in various areas of commerce. The Brainiac, Vintage Views, and QuizWhiz competitions were intense and engaging, with participants showcasing theirtalents and learning from each other.
The quiz competition, moderated by Principal Dr. Prashant Vasudev, was a major highlight, with challenging questions that tested students' knowledge,quick thinking, and problem-solving skills. A thought-provoking skit by class 12 students, inspired by Ratan Tata's success story, added depth and inspiration to the day's events. The skit was a testament to the students' creativity, teamwork, and passion for learning.
The fest concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony, where overall winners were awarded trophies and certificates, marking the culmination of an enriching and memorable experience followed by a vote of thanks. The success of the Inter School CommQuest' 24 was a testament to the meticulous planning and organisation by the event coordinator and HOD of Commerce, Mr. Abilash and the Commerce department teachers. The event provided a valuable platform for students to showcase their talents, learn from each other, and develop essential skills in commerce and management.
