Salaam Kuwait Namaste India Season 5 Becomes a Great Success at ICSK Khaitan
The Indian Community School Kuwait (ICSK), Khaitan, concluded the year 2024 on a celebratory note with the fifth season of Salaam Kuwait Namaste India, a noble fun fair held on Friday, December 20th, at the Khaitan school campus.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Nabeel Shah, Country Operations Manager of Unilever, Kuwait, and Guest of Honour Mr. Afsalkhan. M., Zonal Head of Malabar Gold and Diamonds, Kuwait. Other esteemed dignitaries included members of the Hon. Board of Trustees, ICSK: Chairman Mr. Shaik Abdul Rahiman, Vice-Chairman Mr. Vinu Kumar Nair, and Secretary Mr. Amer Mohammed, along with the Principals and Vice Principals of all ICSK schools.
The program commenced with an Islamic prayer, followed by the national anthems of Kuwait and India. An invocation dance performance by Gokulam Dance School, Kuwait set a vibrant tone for the day. ICSK Khaitan Principal, Mr. K. Gangadhar welcomed the guests by presenting saplings as a symbol of growth, harmony, and environmental stewardship. He highlighted the importance of fostering cultural diversity and unity among nations, establishing the spirit of the event.
The daylong event was inaugurated by planting a mango tree in line with its Green Campus mission. The ceremony showcased a rich blend of Indian and Kuwaiti cultural heritage, captivating the audience with its vibrancy and energy. Students enthralled attendees with a series of spectacular performances, including traditional dances, musical acts, skits, and nukkad natak (street plays).
The event offered a plethora of attractions catering to all age groups, ensuring a delightful experience for everyone. Highlights included mesmerizing concerts, captivating dance performances, a charming baby show, an enchanting magic show and a vibrant talent show. The festivities were further enriched by a diverse food court, engaging corporate stalls, the thrilling Voice of Kuwait contest and a bustling Indian Mini Bazaar. A standout feature was the Indo-Kuwait Cultural Extravaganza, including a special Telugu program, 'Unstoppable 4.0,' featuring the incredible talents of mentalist Mr. Ravi Sankar and mimicry artist Mr. Sharif from India. The White Elephant Stall and thrilling Tambola games, along with raffle draws, kept the crowd engaged and excited throughout the day.
The event was proudly sponsored by Grow & Lovely and Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Kuwait, with co-sponsorship from Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Group and Al-Mullah Exchange.
The event was a resounding success, drawing a large crowd from the Indian Community. Salaam Kuwait Namaste India Season 5 exhibited the prominent identities of India and Kuwait through the ambience of the entire event, from campus decoration to cultural performances and variety of stalls, promoting cross-cultural understanding and exchange. It will be remembered as a fitting conclusion to 2024, highlighting the joy of living together with shared values of the two nations.
