ICSK Khaitan Celebrates 76th Republic Day with Grandeur and Sports Awards
The ICSK Khaitan celebrated the 76th Republic Day on the school campus on 23rd January 2025 with a series of events showcasing patriotism, cultural diversity, and the achievements of its students. The program highlighted the importance of unity, freedom, and holistic development, leaving a lasting impact on the school community. Ms Anushka Merchant, an accomplished international ice-skating athlete for the India Team and a successful business professional, was the Chief Guest of the day.
The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the Indian national flag by the Chief Guest, accompanied by Mr. K.G Shirsath, the Principal and Ms. Sushmeeta Prakash, Vice Principal. The enthusiastic students of ICSK Khaitan performed a well-coordinated March Past, led by the House Prefects, which showcased discipline and teamwork. A stunning Pyramid Display stamped with the hallmark of balance and strength left everyone in awe.
The formal segment began with a heartfelt welcome address by Mr. K.G. Shirsath. He welcomed the Chief Guest and the august gathering and also expressed his appreciation for the students' enthusiastic participation in the Republic Day celebration. As a token of gratitude, Mr Shirsath felicitated the Chief Guest. Ms. Merchant, in her inspiring address, emphasized the importance of seizing every opportunity, overcoming fears, and building confidence to achieve success. Her words motivated the students to dream big and pursue their goals with determination and courage.
The event featured Warrior's Heartbeat, a mesmerizing dance drama which was a tribute to the bravery of Indian soldiers. Indian Cultural Mosaic, a vibrant fancy dress show, highlighted the rich diversity of India. Students also presented a melodious patriotic song evoking a deep sense of pride and unity.
The celebrations also included prize distribution ceremonies. The first ceremony honoured students who excelled in CBSE Clusters and Inter-School Sports Competitions, recognising their outstanding achievements in sports and inspiring their peers to strive for excellence. Following this, prizes were distributed for the Annual School Sports Meet of CBSE and IGCSE wings by the Chief Guest, celebrating the hard work, dedication, and exceptional performance of the students.
The program concluded with the national pledge, reminding everyone of their responsibilities as citizens and the importance of unity and integrity in building a stronger nation. The event was a resounding success, leaving the audience with a sense of renewed patriotic fervour.
