The ICSK Junior community gathered to honour the outgoing students of Classes 5 and 6 during a memorable valedictory ceremony, Anugrah, held on 6th February 2025. Organized by the dedicated students and teachers of Class 5, the event was a vibrant celebration of cherished memories.
Principal ICSK Junior, Mrs. C. Sheeja warmly welcomed the chief guest, students, and parents. In her address, she recognized the students' achievements and urged them to maintain focus on their goals, upholding the values instilled in them by the school. She also highlighted the remarkable efforts of both teachers and students that made the day truly memorable.
The event featured Dr. Moli Diwakaran, Lecturer at Kuwait Technical College, as the chief guest. In her inspiring speech, Dr. Diwakaran emphasized two vital qualities that every student should embrace—compassion and flexibility. She assured the students that their school will always be a second home, where they can seek guidance and support from their teachers whenever necessary.
ICSK Junior continued its noble initiative of promoting greenery by presenting a sapling to the chief guest, as a symbol of appreciation and the lasting impact of her visit.
Together with the principal, she presented mementos to the outgoing students, expressing their love for all. The proud winners of Brushes and Bonds collected their accolades from the chief guest and the school principal at the Anugrah ceremony. It was a moment of sheer joy for all.
The program began with a solemn prayer, followed by an exciting lineup of cultural performances.
The students mesmerized the audience with a breathtaking, vibrant, and rhythmically enchanting Peacock Dance, a fusion of grace and passion that left everyone spellbound. Another exhilarating cinematic dance performance captivated the crowd, drawing them in with its high-energy moves and captivating rhythm. Their electrifying, energetic performance, set the stage ablaze with their foot-tapping beats. A soul-stirring farewell song resonated through the venue, evoking nostalgia as its heartfelt lyrics struck deep sentiments. A skit illustrating the various stages of childhood vividly showcased the journey from kindergarten to Grade 6. The audience enjoyed the performance and were able to reflect to their childhood days.
Children received heartfelt wishes from their mentor, Mrs. Soummya Thomas, offered wise words of encouragement for their future endeavors. A couple of outgoing students took center stage to express gratitude and reflect on their experiences, expressing their deep attachment for the school. They also thanked the principal, vice principal, and all staff members for their invaluable support.
Vice Principal Mrs. Santhikrishna delivered the farewell message and sincerely acknowledged the presence of the chief guest for such a solemn occasion. The efforts of students and staff were acknowledged for their contribution to the event’s success.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the outgoing school president Ms. Rebecca Leela Thomas. In summary, Anugrah was a day brimming with wistfulness, joy, and profound emotions, marking a significant transition for the students as they embark on new journeys ahead.
