Graduation Day: A Proud Moment of Triumph!

The tassel worth the hassle – A new beginning for parents and students.

UKG Graduation 1The kindergarten graduation ceremony for the academic year 2024-25 was held on 13th February, 2025, at ICSK Junior, marking a milestone for our young students as they move on from kindergarten to the next phase of their educational journey. The event was filled with joy, excitement, and unforgettable memories.

The event was adorned by the gracious presence of Dr. Navniit Gandhi, an academician, author, and trainer/counselor based in Kuwait. She has authored nine books and has written more than 300 feature articles to date and is presently on the editorial board of The Teenager Today.

The event commenced with the Islamic prayer, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting by the chief guest, Dr. Navniit Gandhi, Principal Mrs. C. Sheeja, and Vice Principal Mrs. Santhikrishna.

The audience was welcomed by the principal, who congratulated both the students and their parents for reaching this important milestone. In her address, the principal emphasized the pivotal role of education in shaping the future, stating, "Education is the protection of life, and it must accompany us throughout our journey." She highlighted that a key indicator of successful education lies in the happiness of the child, reflecting the importance of providing an environment where children can develop freely. She further urged everyone to invest in the well-being and growth of future generations.

The children delighted the audience with heartwarming dance performances and songs. Their smiles and enthusiasm reflected the spirit of the day. Each student was called up on the stage with their parents to receive their diploma. The winning teams of Brushes and Bonds—the parent-child duo art competition—were also felicitated by the chief guest. ICSK Junior conducted it’s first-ever parent-child duo art competition, “Brushes and Bonds” which gave the parents and children a wonderful opportunity to strengthen their bond in an exciting artistic challenge. The winners were awarded trophies and certificates.

The chief guest emphasized several key points. Firstly, children should be taught their mother tongue, as it renders a sense of security and belonging. Secondly, while love is essential, excessive indulgence can hinder personality development. Additionally, use of gadgets should be minimized to prevent negative impacts on a child’s growth. Furthermore, parents should prepare two wills—one for material possessions, which may change over time and another for moral values, which will serve as a lifelong guide.

In line with ICSK Junior’s commitment to promoting greenery, a sapling was gifted as a token of gratitude to the chief guest. Representing growth and inspiration, the gesture highlighted the school's dedication to sustainability while honouring the guest’s influential presence at the event.

Throughout the year, students built friendships, developed empathy, and practiced teamwork, which was evident during the ceremony. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Vice Principal Mrs. Santhikrishna and a message of encouragement for the future, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and personal growth.

The occasion concluded on a joyful note, celebrating the children's growth, achievements, and readiness for new challenges. It marked the beginning of their exciting journey into first grade, leaving them motivated, confident, and eager to embrace future learning adventures.

The tassel was worth the hassle—conquered through hard work, determination, and the unwavering support of parents and students. Here's to the triumphs with new horizons ahead!
