PARENTS’ ORIENTATION IN THE INDIAN COMMUNITY SCHOOL KUWAIT, AMMAN
The Indian Community School Kuwait, Amman, marked a memorable milestone on April 10th, 2025, with its Kindergarten Parents Orientation Programme. The event set the tone for an exciting academic year ahead for the lower kindergarten students.
A warm welcome was extended to new LKG children, donned in their new school uniforms, as they stepped into their educational journey alongside their parents. They were greeted by UKG children, who welcomed them cordially near the school's front lobby.
The function commenced with the Islamic prayer and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment. School Principal, Mr. Rajesh Nair, delivered a warm welcome address, congratulating the parents for joining the ICSK family.
The UKG children dazzled the audience with a captivating welcome dance. Dr. Jeyadevi Ramachandran, Kindergarten Supervisor, elaborated on the school's guidelines, rules, and procedures, ensuring parents were well-informed. The class teachers were introduced, providing an opportunity for parents to familiarize themselves with the educators. This was followed by a thought-provoking skit, ‘Prickles the Puffy Porcupine: A Lesson in Friendship,’ which beautifully conveyed the moral, ‘True friends show kindness in times of need.’ The performance left a lasting impression on the audience, highlighting the importance of empathy, compassion, and support in friendships.
A short video showcasing highlights from the academic year 2024-2025 was played, giving the audience a glimpse into the school's vibrant campus activities.
Dr. Mary Isaac, Vice Principal, proposed the vote of thanks, thanking the parents for their presence and offered valuable parenting tips.
As the event drew to a close, parents visited the classroom and collected their child’s books and ID cards, marking the beginning of a new chapter.
The school continues to uphold its commitment to providing quality education and fostering a nurturing environment for its students.
