India International School Mangaf Organizes Inner Wheel Session
On 15th May, with the onset of summer, the Inner Wheel Club of India International School Mangaf (IISM) proudly hosted "Moxie Moms," a session solely dedicated to honoring the strength, togetherness, and indomitable spirit of motherhood. Adorned in a refreshing green theme symbolizing growth, harmony, and renewal, the event brought together mothers and female mentors of IISM for a day brimming with joy and talent showcases.
The event was graced by the presence of Principal K.V. Indulekha, Headmistress Sridevi Neelakannan, Coordinator Prema Balasubramanian (VI-VIII), Coordinator Najiah Kader (Kindergarten), esteemed moms, and teachers.
The program commenced with a serene Quran recitation by Mrs. Tufelunissa, with its translation rendered by Mrs. Nishat Rehman, setting a blessed and reflective tone for the day. Mrs. Reeja, Mrs. Dhanya, and Mrs. Hafiza then extended a warm welcome, acknowledging the collective efforts that made the event possible.
Principal K.V. Indulekha delivered an uplifting inaugural speech, highlighting the vital role mothers play in shaping strong families and communities, and officially declared the competitions open.
The entertainment segment began with a heartwarming welcome dance by Malavika of Grade V and her mother, showcasing their beautiful bond through graceful movements. Students of Grade XI then took the stage with an energetic dance performance, adding youthful exuberance to the event. This was followed by an enrichment session by Dr. Shameema, who shared invaluable insights on mindful parenting, self-care, and maintaining balance in life's many roles. With special emphasis on digital wellness, she urged parents to guide their children away from addictive games and excessive gadget use, stressing the importance of fostering healthy habits and purposeful screen time. Her practical advice left the audience both motivated and equipped with strategies to nurture confident, focused learners. Adding excitement to the event, engaging games for moms were conducted, sparking laughter and friendly competition.
The event reached its crescendo when Mrs. Dhanalakshmi, our ever-enthusiastic member and mother of Grade XI's Aarav, graced the stage with a scintillating dance performance. Her dynamic movements electrified the atmosphere, compelling the audience to applaud rhythmically in unison.
Adding a tuneful twist to the day was the Antakshari competition, where teams of mothers relived timeless melodies, their exuberant energy and playful rivalry echoing the spirit of togetherness. The highlight for many was the payasam and biryani contest, where participants showcased their culinary skills, and winners were announced amidst much excitement.
Director Malayil Moosa Koya, accompanied by Principal K.V. Indulekha, distributed mementos to the resource person, Dr. Shameema, and the judges, Mr. Sajeev and Mrs. Sajida Nazeer. Finally, Mrs. Reeja, Mrs. Dhanya, and Mrs. Hafeeza delivered a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all attendees, volunteers, and sponsors for making "Moxie Moms" a resounding success.
