Teachers Day

In a rare and momentous convergence of legacy, culture, and reverence, India International School, Mangaf, carved a niche on Friday, 5th September 2025, by celebrating Teacher’s Day. The occasion commemorated the birth anniversary of the eminent philosopher, statesman, and former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose profound vision laid the foundation for this day of honoring educators.

What made the celebration truly special was its timing. Despite falling on the school’s weekly holiday, the event was held with unwavering dedication under the stewardship of Principal Dr. K. Saleem. Coinciding with the joyous festival of Onam, the day carried a dual aura of auspiciousness and cultural richness. The school’s steadfast commitment to honoring the teaching fraternity transformed the observance from a customary formality into a generous tribute to the mentors who shape future generations.

The event was graced by Principal Dr. K. Saleem, Headmistress Mrs. Sridevi Neelakannan, and the academic coordinators—Mrs. Najiyah Kader (Kindergarten), Mrs. Prema Balasubramanyan (Grades VI–VIII), and Mr. Shihab Nilgiri (Grades IX–XII). Their presence, along with esteemed teachers and the School Council, who efficiently organized the day’s program, reflected the spirit of unity and gratitude.

The program began on a spiritually uplifting note with a serene recitation of the Holy Quran by Head Boy Basim Mohammed. This was followed by an inspiring speech from Assistant Head Boy Adnan, who eloquently expressed the student body’s deep appreciation and admiration for their teachers.

A soulful musical performance by Fizan (Grade XII) and Muadh (Grade X) added a beautiful lyrical touch, resonating with emotion. The program continued with a skit titled “Dear Teachers, Thank You” by the students of Grade IX, meaningfully portraying the vital role teachers play in shaping lives. As a token of gratitude, the students presented a video compilation — a simple yet touching way to say, Happy Teacher’s Day.

The celebration drew to a fitting close with an inspiring address by Principal Dr. K. Saleem. He reflected on the profound significance of the day, applauded the sincere efforts of the Student Council, and expressed appreciation for the dedication of the teaching staff. He also extended his sincere thanks to the Director, Malayil Moosa Koya, for his unwavering support and visionary leadership, which continue to inspire the school community. His words encapsulated the spirit of gratitude and unity that defined the occasion and left everyone with a lasting sense of fulfillment. School Director Malayil Moosakoya conveyed a message to congratulate whole teachers. The event concluded with the distribution of gifts to the teachers as a token of appreciation and respect.
