‘One Life, a Thousand Stories” – A Legacy Honoured, A Future Reimagined’
The resplendent auditorium of Bhavans Smart Indian School Cambridge echoed with reverence, joy, and celebration on Saturday, 13 September 2025, as Bhavans Kuwait hosted its annual Founder’s Day in honour of the visionary Chairman and Founder of Bhavans Middle East, Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon. This year’s theme, ‘One Life, a Thousand Stories’, paid tribute not only to the remarkable journey of Mr. Menon but also to the countless lives transformed by his two-decade-long educational mission in the Middle East.
The august gathering was graced by the presence of Chairman and Founder of Bhavans Middle East, Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon, First Lady of Bhavans Middle East, Ms. Sudha Ramachandran, the senior leadership of Bhavans Kuwait – Principal of Indian Educational School, Mr. Anand Victor, the Vice Principals of IES, Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar, Mr. Santhosh Chungath, Mr. Liju Joseph, and Ms. Hima Nirmal, the Vice Principal of Bhavans Smart Indian School Cambridge, Ms. Bhavitha Bright, Headmistress of IES, Ms. Muneera Mamikutty, KG Coordinator of IES, Ms. Sindu Ramachandran, KG Supervisor of Jack and Jill Pre-school, Ms. Sajini Prithviraj, and Administrative Manager, Ms. Amira Bendary.
The programme commenced with recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran and a solemn tribute to the host nation through the singing of the Kuwait National Anthem. A soulful prayer song set a reverent tone, seamlessly blending cultural inclusivity with spiritual grace, followed by the Bhavans Anthem.
Following a spectacular welcome dance, Vice Principal of IES, Mr. Liju Joseph, expressed his admiration and celebrated the multifaceted roles of the Chairman and the First Lady, as he welcomed the gathering to enjoy the momentous occasion.
In his much-anticipated address, the Chairman expressed deep appreciation for the trust and unity of his team, extended heartfelt gratitude to the parents for their unwavering support, and traced the academic journey of the school. He also announced the launch of a new wave of pioneering initiatives—endeavours designed not merely to keep pace with the evolving educational landscape, but to once again place Bhavans at the vanguard of revolutionary trends, as it has consistently done throughout its history.
A poignant moment was the screening of the addresses by the Vice Chairman of Bhavans Middle East, CA. Sooraj Ramachandran and the Director of Bhavans Middle East CA. Divya Rajesh Ramachandran respectively, whose heartfelt tributes illuminated the sacrifices and enduring vision of the Chairman. Their words resonated deeply, underscoring how Bhavans’ legacy continues to touch hearts across generations.
In his speech, Principal of Indian Educational School Kuwait, Mr. Anand Victor reminisced his personal journey alongside the Chairman, praising his empathetic leadership and his unique ability to treat every concern, however small, with utmost seriousness. Echoing these sentiments, Senior Vice Principal Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar highlighted the familial bond that unites the Bhavans community.
Adding depth to the occasion were testimonials from alumni, parents, and former staff—voices of gratitude that testified to the holistic and enriching education imparted at Bhavans Kuwait since the inception of its flagship school, Indian Educational School. The segment culminated in a surprise cake-cutting ceremony and a touching blessing song by the senior leadership team.
The cultural extravaganza that followed was a spellbinding celebration of Bhavans’ past, present, and future. A collaborative production by Indian Educational School and Bhavans Smart Indian School Cambridge, the performance masterfully blended music, dance, art, and technology to narrate the legendary and inspiring journey of the Chairman’s vision.
In a riveting and spectacular showcase, the team of talented teachers of Bhavans Smart Indian School Cambridge Kuwait brought to life the legendary and inspiring journey of the Chairman’s vision through an impressive dance portrayal. The resplendent performance incorporated light-powered props, magnificent glowing wings, and a fusion of AI-powered visuals and soundscapes that left the audience awestruck and evoked thunderous applause as the team honoured the Chairman as the epitome of true leadership and painted a vivid tapestry of Bhavans’ milestones over the past two decades.
Culminating in a stirring tribute to the ten educational institutions now flourishing under the Bhavans Middle East banner, the team unfolded delicate and intricately hand-carved relief images of each educational institution that were concealed within a collapsable cuboid with five institutions on either side of the relief portrait of the Chairman; each stroke skilfully etched and carved out by Art teacher of Bhavans Smart Indian School Cambridge Kuwait, Mr. Sunimon M. S., to capture the majestic stature they exude.
As the evening drew to a close, the Chairman once again addressed the gathering, urging his teachers to continue their noble mission of shaping thousands more lives with dedication and compassion. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Vice Principal of Bhavans Smart Indian School Cambridge Kuwait, Ms. Bhavitha Bright, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chairman for his guidance, and to the senior leadership teams, staff, parents, and students at both schools for their indispensable roles in orchestrating a celebration of such magnitude and meaning.
The Founder’s Day celebration of 2025 thus stood not only as a tribute to a remarkable legacy but also as a resounding promise—that under the stewardship of the Founder and Chairman, Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon, Bhavans Middle East will continue to inspire, innovate, and illuminate the educational landscape for decades to come
