ICSK -IIK Higher Education Fair Brings Together University Expo, Career Talks, Counselling and Aptitude Tests for Young Aspirants

HEF 2025 1The Indian Community School, Kuwait (ICSK) in collaboration with Indians in Kuwait (IIK) hosted the much-awaited Higher Education Fair 2025 on 5th and 6th December 2025. The campus buzzed with energy as it welcomed a world of opportunities for eager young minds from across Kuwait.

The seventh edition of the fair offered students a rare opportunity to explore a wide range of higher education choices and interact directly with representatives from reputed universities and colleges in India and abroad. It widened their horizons and helped them discover countless academic pathways for a bright future.

The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, H.E. Mr. Murtala Jimoh, Hon. Ambassador of Nigeria to the State of Kuwait. Among the dignitaries were Dr. P.R. Venkitaraman, Senior Career Consultant, Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahiman, Hon. Chairman to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Azharuddin Amer Mohammed, Hon. Secretary to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Vinukumar Nair, Hon. Vice Chairman to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Sunoj Nambiar, Director Operations of IIK, Mr. Wilson D’Souza, Director Marketing of IIK, Mr. George Mathew, Director Finance of IIK, Fr. James Tuscano, SDB, Principal of Indian English Academy School, Mrs. K. R. Rajalakshmi, Principal of Jabriya Indian School, Mr. Anoop Kumar Sharma, Principal of New Gulf Indian School, Ms. Sajitha Menon, Principal of Salmiya Indian Model School, Mr. Radhakrishnan C., Principal of United Indian School, Dr. Alice Abraham Kisku, Principal of United International Indian School, Mrs. Sujata Sivakrishnan, Principal of Indian Central School, Dr. V. The event was formally inaugurated by the esteemed Chief Guest H.E. Mr. Murtala Jimoh by unlocking a beautifully crafted oyster containing a shimmering pearl — symbolizing purity, wisdom and the brilliance of new beginnings. This was followed by the dazzling reveal of the HEF 2025 logo, carrying the powerful message ‘Your journey to excellence starts here.’

Mr. Shaik Abdul Rahiman, Hon. Chairman to the Board of Trustees presented a memento, a token of gratitude and appreciation to the esteemed Chief Guest. Chocolates were shared from the symbolic pearl, spreading the message of sharing knowledge and wisdom. The dignitaries then visited the University Expo and interacted with the representatives, marking a graceful start to the two-day event.

The Higher Education Fair 2025 featured career mapped aptitude test, personalized career counselling, career talk sessions and university expo. The aptitude test and counselling sessions, led by Mr. Sajith Thomas, a renowned Career Counsellor & Educational Expert will be conducted on 12th and 13th December 2025. The detailed assessment is designed to help students understand their strengths, interests and skills, guiding them towards the right career choices.

The University Expo brought together nearly 40 reputed institutions—Business Schools, Engineering and Medical Colleges, Hospitality and Tourism Management Institutes, and Universities from India and abroad, each presenting detailed information on undergraduate programmes, specialized courses, admission procedures, eligibility requirements, scholarship opportunities and campus facilities. University delegates interacted closely with students, addressing their queries related to course selection, future prospects, placements, skill requirements and global trends in higher education. The Expo enabled students to compare various academic pathways, understand the relevance of emerging fields and gain clarity about the qualifications needed to pursue their desired careers.

Five powerful Career Talk Sessions led by Dr. P. R. Venkitaraman, a renowned Senior Career Consultant, were conducted for students of Classes 9 to 12, drawing an outstanding response from over 4000 students and parents. The sessions aimed to help students make informed decisions about their future academic and professional pathways.

Dr. P. R. Venkitaraman shared valuable information on a wide spectrum of topics including emerging career fields, importance of competitive exams, higher education opportunities and essential skills needed in the rapidly evolving world.  He emphasized on the formula for career success, job market trends and choosing courses, institutions and pathways wisely.

An interactive Q&A segment allowed students to voice their doubts regarding subject combinations, university applications, scholarships and career options. The responses provided were practical, reassuring and highly beneficial for the students’ decision-making process.

The ICSK–IIK Higher Education Fair 2025 truly became a one-stop destination for all higher education guidance. From uncovering students’ potential to providing personalized guidance, and from presenting diverse career pathways to helping them direct their energies effectively — the fair fulfilled its mission with great success. It played a vital role in connecting students with the world of higher education and shaping their dreams with purpose, confidence and hope.
