ICSK Khaitan culminates Arts Fest with Grand Award ceremony
The Indian Community School, Kuwait (ICSK), Khaitan, proudly hosted a grand award ceremony for its Arts Fest ‘KHOJ’ on Thursday, November 20, 2025. This magnificent celebration honoured the exceptional talent, proficiency and artistic brilliance of students who excelled in a wide array of on-stage and off-stage competitions held from October 1 to November 1, 2025.
With 227 competitions, over 5300 participants and 575 prizes, KHOJ 2025 emerged as a remarkable testament to the creativity and dedication of ICSK Khaitan students. Through this monumental event, the institution reinforced its commitment to nurturing talent, encouraging exploration and inspiring students to see the world through enriched and imaginative lenses.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Ashfaque Ahmed Khan, President of the Indian Cultural Society (ICS), Kuwait, who officiated as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by distinguished dignitaries from the ICS Executive Committee.
The school’s governing and administrative bodies were well represented by the esteemed members of the Board of Trustees—Mr. Shaik Abdul Rahiman, Hon. Chairman, Mr. Vinukumar Nair, Hon. Vice Chairman, and Mr. Azharuddin Amer Mohammed, Hon. Secretary along with the Principals, Vice Principals, and Deputy Vice Principals from various branch schools of the ICSK.
The proceedings began with solemnity, opening with a devotional Islamic prayer and the recitation of the Kuwait National Anthem. The ceremonial lamp was lit, symbolising unity and enlightenment. Principal Mr. K. Gangadhar Shirsath warmly welcomed the audience, commending the students for their dedication, talent and enthusiastic participation. The programme continued with a captivating welcome dance that enthralled the audience, followed by an inspiring address from Chief Guest, who lauded the students for their remarkable commitment and achievements.
The award ceremony of KHOJ 2025 celebrated the exceptional talent and creativity of the students through a vibrant cultural programme. Soulful vocal performances, high-energy dances, a fashion show showcasing traditional attire and a Radio Jockey show, with its witty banter and spontaneous energy, added a refreshing spark to the evening. Instrumental and vocal music demonstrated precision and artistry, while “Melody in Canvas,” a live fusion of painting and music, was a highlight of the evening. Every performance reflected the students’ confidence, imagination, and cultural richness, leaving the audience mesmerised.
The energy and excitement of the festivities filled the venue throughout the evening. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ms. Sushmeeta Prakash, Vice Principal of ICSK Khaitan, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, parents, KHOJ coordinators, and students for their generous support.
