FAIPS DPS - Grade 5 Annual Day – Harry Potter’s Enchanted Train Adventure
Al Ahmadi- The school auditorium at FAIPS–DPS Kuwait resonated with energy and creativity as the Grade 5 Annual Day was celebrated on Thursday, 15 January 2025. The morning unfolded as a spectacular showcase of youthful talent, where dynamic performances and cinematic storytelling blended seamlessly to create a visually captivating and deeply immersive experience. Transformed into a world of enchantment, the auditorium came alive with the students’ themed presentation, “Harry Potter’s Enchanted Train Journey,” which commenced at 9:30 a.m. and progressed like a beautifully choreographed cinematic voyage, holding the audience spellbound from the opening moment to the grand finale.
The momentous occasion was honoured by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, His Excellency Dr. Sied M. Jibril, Ambassador of Ethiopia to Kuwait. The celebration was further dignified by the presence of His Excellency Mr. Noshervan Lomtatidze, Ambassador of Georgia to the State of Kuwait as the Guest of Honour. Also the occasion was graced by very special guests Dr. Amir Ahmed Kanjarandy, Physician at KNPC, and Dr. Shaima Al Ansari, Representative from the Ministry of Education, Kuwait. The celebration was further enlivened by over 480 spirited Grade 5 students along with their parents, whose energy and vibrancy filled the auditorium with warmth, colour, and a radiant festive atmosphere.
The formal proceedings commenced on a graceful note with a soulful rendition of Tahe–Al Kuwait, followed by the solemn singing of the Kuwait National Anthem, setting an atmosphere of reverence and pride. The ambience then deepened into spiritual reflection with the beautiful recitation of sacred verses from the Holy Quran, lending serenity and sanctity to the occasion. The ceremonial lamp, symbolising divinity, wisdom, and enlightenment, was subsequently lit by the dignitaries along with the school heads.
In his Warm Welcome Address, Principal Mr. Ravi Ayanoli extended cordial greetings to the honourable guests, parents, well-wishers, and the enthusiastic Grade 5 students. He appreciated the teachers’ dedicated efforts over the past two months in meticulously preparing the grand programme and acknowledged the vital role of parental support in nurturing confident learners. Emphasising the school’s holistic approach, he highlighted a well-balanced curriculum that blends academic excellence with co-curricular growth, fostering adaptability, resilience, and creativity.
The celebration began with a soul-stirring welcome song that perfectly brought to life the theme “Harry Potter’s Enchanted Train Journey.” Harry, Ron, and Hermione took the stage, setting off on a magical quest to find the missing Professor Dumbledore. Their adventure spanned from King’s Cross Station, London, to five vibrant destinations—USA, Hawaii, Spain, Korea, and Thailand—before culminating at Hogwarts, highlighting the beauty, culture, and spirit of each place. Through dynamic choreography, expressive gestures, electrifying music, and a mesmerizing murmuration sequence, the performance transported the audience into the story, allowing them to experience the magic, thrills, and discoveries of Harry and his friends as they journeyed across diverse cultures and enchanting landscapes in pursuit of their beloved professor.
Addressing the august gathering, His Excellency Sied M. Jibril, Ambassador of Ethiopia to Kuwait, expressed admiration for the students’ talent and dedication and commended the school for nurturing respect for teachers and parents. Citing the lasting significance of education in a rapidly changing world, he urged students to pursue their studies with focus, discipline, and perseverance, affirming that consistent effort and teamwork lead to success.
His Excellency Mr. Noshervan Lomtatidze, Ambassador of Georgia to Kuwait, applauded the exceptional talent showcased during the celebration. He encouraged students and parents to look beyond borders for higher education opportunities, emphasising the importance of cultural exposure and adaptability, and lauded FAIPS–DPS for its holistic ethos that brings together students from diverse backgrounds to learn, collaborate, and flourish.
Dr. Amir Ahmed Kanjarandy, Physician at KNPC, commended the students for their enthusiastic and energetic performances, describing the event as a reflection of the school’s commitment to holistic development. He highlighted how FAIPS–DPS provides a unique environment that encourages teamwork, adaptability, and excellence both academically and personally. He urged parents to continue supporting their children and to make the best use of the school’s rich opportunities to help students thrive.
The celebration reached its climactic crescendo with a high-beat, rhythmic grand finale, a spectacular fusion of energy, colour, and music that left the audience exhilarated, spellbound, and in awe of the sheer talent and creativity on display. The programme was expertly hosted by the student emcees who guided the audience through the day’s events with charm and poise.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. Deepa Elizabeth George, Headmistress, who expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event. The day truly embodied magic, imagination, and cultural wonder, creating an unforgettable experience for all.
