20th Mega Carnival at The Indian Community School, Kuwait Attracts Thousands in a Spectacular Celebration of Fun and Festivity

The much-awaited carnival unfolded as a magnificent celebration of culture, entertainment, and charity, drawing thousands of visitors from across Kuwait to share a day of fun, joy and togetherness. The ICSK campus transformed into a vibrant festive arena, echoing with music, laughter, and the shared happiness of families and friends.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Dr. Manaf Behbehani, Marine Scientist and Environmental Expert, Kuwait. The celebration was further honored by the presence of distinguished Special Guests — Mr. Abdulrahman Aljulaibi, Director PR, Red Crescent Society, Kuwait; Dr. Sameer Hamad, President, Forum of Indian Doctors, Kuwait; and Mr. Abdullaziz Alahabbad, renowned violinist and artist.

Among the dignitaries were Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahiman, Hon. Chairman to the Board of Trustees; Mr. Azharuddin Amer Muhammed, Hon. Secretary to the Board of Trustees; Mr. Vinukumar Nair, Hon. Vice Chairman to the Board of Trustees; esteemed sponsors - Mr. Philip John- Sales Manager, Al Mulla exchange (Gold Sponsor), Mr. Khaled Dawood Akhter - Sr. Manager, Ancillary Jazeera Airways (Silver Sponsor), Mr. Mohammad Ali - Mango Hyper, Kuwait (Silver Sponsor) and Ms. Kumuda Rajendra, Representative - Go Score (Platinum Sponsor), Mr. Jaffer Sathik, CEO of Hydro Plants and the supporter for ICSK’s Tree Plantation Drive in Kuwait along with eminent personalities and the Principals from various CBSE schools in Kuwait and ICSK branches.

The carnival commenced with a graceful inauguration ceremony that set the tone for the day. The programme began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Miss Fareeha, followed by a soulful prayer song rendered by Swaranjali. The gathering stood in respect as the National Anthem of Kuwait resonated across the campus.

Welcoming the august gathering, Dr. V. Binumon delivered a heartfelt address, highlighting the institution’s commitment to holistic education. He noted that ICSK fosters student growth across five key dimensions — physical, intellectual, cultural, social and spiritual — a vision clearly embodied in the vibrant carnival celebrations.

A soul-stirring violin performance by Mr. Abdullaziz Alahabbad, gracefully complemented by an elegant classical dance, set a serene and uplifting tone for the ceremonial inauguration. This artistic beginning was followed by the formal inauguration led by the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Manaf Behbehani, along with the Special Guest, Mr. Abdulrahman Aljulaibi. Adding to the significance of the moment, the carnival souvenir was released by the Special Guest Dr. Sameer Hamad and ceremoniously presented to Hon. Chairman to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahiman.

The ceremonial release of doves by Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahiman, Hon. Chairman to the Board of Trustees together with the Special Guest, Mr. Abdulrahman Aljulaibi, stood as a powerful and moving symbol of peace and unity. As the doves soared into the sky, the moment reflected harmony, mutual respect, and shared hope, conveying a timeless message of togetherness and compassion.

The esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Manaf Behbehani, in his inspirational address expressed his deep appreciation for ICSK’s noble initiative, applauding the school’s efforts in fostering cultural values and social responsibility. He also lauded the unwavering support of parents, acknowledging their vital role in shaping student success. As a mark of gratitude, he was presented with a memento by the Hon. Chairman to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahiman.

Mementos were also presented to the Special Guests by the Hon. Secretary to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Azharuddin Amer Muhammed and Mr. Vinukumar Nair, Hon. Vice Chairman to the Board of Trustees. The school also expressed heartfelt appreciation to its sponsors, whose generous support played a crucial role in the success of the carnival.

The celebration truly came alive with a breathtaking thematic cultural presentation titled ‘Hues of Humanity’ by the students of The Indian School of Excellence, Kuwait. This visually stunning performance left the audience spellbound, reflecting the richness of human emotions and the boundless creativity nurtured within the institution.

The inaugural ceremony concluded with a gracious vote of thanks by Mrs. Sherly Dennis, Director, ISEK, signaling the beginning of a day filled with fun, festivity, and meaningful connections.

The carnival showcased an extraordinary lineup of 42 performances, featuring a delightful blend of music, dance, and entertainment. Classical dance forms like Kathak and Bharatanatyam, vibrant folk and cinematic dances, Punjabi and Rajasthani performances, Taal Fusion, Thanoora dance, powerful band performances and musical extravaganza kept the audience enthralled throughout the day.

A lively Tambola session brought families together in cheerful anticipation, filling the air with laughter, friendly competition, and joyous excitement as winners were announced amidst loud applause.

Gifted star entertainers were specially brought in from India to enrich the celebration and elevate the cultural experience. A spellbinding magic show added an extra layer of wonder, captivating audiences of all ages. Renowned magician and mentalist Aswin Vijay, famed for his appearances on Bigg Boss, took the stage and mesmerized the crowd with his extraordinary illusions and mind-reading feats. Each performance unfolded with suspense and awe, drawing gasps of amazement and thunderous applause as the line between reality and imagination seemed to vanish.

The thrill continued with spectacular performances by Vinod Venjaramood, the world-famous juggler. His breathtaking agility, flawless coordination, and jaw-dropping precision transformed juggling into a mesmerizing art form. The audience watched in amazement as his gravity-defying skills earned resounding applause and admiration.

The carnival also celebrated global and local talent. Kuwaiti singer Mr. Mubaraq enthralled the audience with his powerful and soulful renditions, beautifully bridging cultures through music. The elegant violin performance by Mr. Abdullaziz Alahabbad added a refined classical charm, touching hearts and elevating the artistic spirit of the event.

The auditorium came alive as DJ MJ, a renowned DJ in Kuwait, specially arranged for the youngsters, filled the space with electrifying beats. The venue transformed into a vibrant dance floor as attendees danced with boundless energy, creating moments of joy and unforgettable memories.

Beyond performances, the carnival offered something for everyone. The Mehandi Contest celebrated creativity and tradition, while interactive games, quizzes, talent showcases, and on-the-spot contests kept visitors engaged throughout the day.

Food lovers were treated to a feast with 20 gourmet food stalls offering a rich variety of international cuisines. Meanwhile, 25 shopping stalls displayed clothing, accessories, handicrafts, and unique collectibles, turning the campus into a lively marketplace buzzing with excitement.

The ICSK Carnival drew over 15,000 visitors in a day-long celebration of community spirit and togetherness. Starting at 9 a.m., the lively event was packed with fun, excitement, and unforgettable moments, keeping attendees entertained until it wrapped up at 9 p.m. One of the most eagerly awaited highlights was the digital raffle draw, featuring exciting prizes including five round-trip air tickets between Kuwait and India, sparking cheers and anticipation across the crowd.

Beyond the joy and celebration, the carnival carried a deeper purpose. As a charity-driven initiative, the funds raised will support the Students’ Welfare Fund, aiding the education of economically disadvantaged students and helping them pursue their dreams without financial barriers. This noble cause infused the festivities with meaning and compassion.

The 20th Mega Carnival of ICSK concluded as a resounding success — a celebration that united hearts, celebrated diversity, and highlighted the school’s unwavering commitment to education, empathy and empowerment. It was not just a festival, but a heartfelt reminder of what a community can achieve when it comes together with joy and purpose.
