Image 0 11zon 1The management, staff, and students of Smart Indian School hosted the much-anticipated Annual Sports Day, SPORTAGE 2026, on 13 February 2026. The event was marked by spirited participation, boundless enthusiasm, and meticulous organization, reflecting the school’s steadfast commitment to holistic education that harmoniously integrates academic excellence with physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, leadership, and cultural appreciation. The day commenced with a warm welcome extended to distinguished guests, highlighting the collective efforts of the management, staff, and students in orchestrating a memorable celebration. Special recognition was accorded to esteemed sponsor Mr. Ali Judyan Al Beghaili, whose generous support continues to enrich the school’s growth, alongside Mr. Yousef Ali Judyan Al-Rasheedi and Ms. Esteqlal Ali Judyan Al-Rasheedi, whose presence further elevated the occasion.

The event was honoured by the presence of Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon, Chairman of Bhavans Middle East, whose visionary leadership imparted distinction to the proceedings. He lauded the unwavering dedication of the teaching faculty and acknowledged the invaluable support of parents in fostering the holistic development of students. The members of Smart Indian School expressed their sincere appreciation for the guidance and encouragement extended by Vice Chairman of Bhavans Middle East, CA Sooraj Ramachandran, Director of Bhavans Middle East, CA Divya Rajesh Ramachandran, and Mr. Madhav Rajesh, Director of Bhavans Kuwait.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Murugaiyan, Head of the Department of Physical Education at Indian Educational School, delivered an inspiring address emphasizing perseverance, discipline, and the true spirit of sportsmanship. He reminded students that every participant embodies the spirit of victory and encouraged them to pursue excellence with integrity, both on and off the field.

Other dignitaries in attendance included Mr. Anand Victor, Principal of Indian Educational School, Ms. Bhavitha Bright, Principal of Smart Indian School, Ms. Amira Bendary, Administrative Manager of Smart Indian School, the Vice Principals of Indian Educational School, Mr. Santhosh Varghese, Mr. Liju Joseph, Ms. Hima Nirmal, Headmistress of Indian Educational School, Ms. Muneera Mammikutty and Mr. Joseph, Administrative Officer of Bhavans Kuwait.

Ms. Bhavitha, Principal of Smart Indian School, played a pivotal role in the meticulous planning, seamless coordination, and successful execution of SPORTAGE 2026. The event featured a vibrant array of activities that highlighted the students’ skills, resilience, and sportsmanship. The disciplined march past, precision drills, and mass displays demonstrated exceptional teamwork and preparation, reflecting the students’ remarkable ability to balance rigorous training with their academic commitments. Adding a cultural dimension to the celebration, the programme included thematic presentations such as Harmony with Nature and Heart of Kuwait, complemented by captivating Japanese and Chinese performances. A visually striking dragon formation and intricately crafted artistic props, designed by Mr. Sunimon Suseelan - faculty member, Department of Arts at Smart Indian School ,  enhanced the event’s grandeur and creativity. The Physical Education Department, led by Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Sedik and Ms. Sara Shawki, with support from activity coordinators Ms. Hannah Rajamalar Francis and Ms. Karthika Vasu, ensured the seamless conduct of all sporting events through meticulous planning, disciplined rehearsals, and professional oversight. Their mentorship instilled confidence, resilience, and team spirit among the students. The Master of Ceremonies anchored the programme with energy and finesse, keeping the audience engaged throughout. Parents and well-wishers attended in large numbers, offering enthusiastic support. The Prize Distribution Ceremony celebrated students’ perseverance and achievements, with medals, trophies, and certificates awarded to deserving winners.

SPORTAGE 2026 concluded on a triumphant note, leaving lasting memories of unity, accomplishment, and joy. The event reaffirmed Smart Indian School’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals, promoting physical fitness, discipline, leadership, cultural awareness, and collaboration—preparing students to excel both on and off the field and shaping confident, responsible, and resilient leaders of tomorrow.
