ICSK Khaitan Conducts KG Graduation – Udaan 2026
The Indian Community School, Kuwait – Khaitan, celebrated a memorable milestone with the Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony ‘Udaan 2026’ on Thursday, 12 February 2026, held at the school auditorium. The event marked the joyful transition of UKG students to Grade I and was a heartfelt celebration of growth, achievement, and new beginnings.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Neetu Mariam Chacko, a distinguished psychiatrist whose inspiring address added depth and meaning to the occasion.
The programme began with a vibrant presentation showcasing Hawaiian culture, followed by an energetic welcome dance by the UKG students, setting a lively, celebratory tone for the event.
The Principal, K. G. Shirsath, warmly welcomed the Chief Guest and parents. In his address, he emphasised the importance of healthy thinking and a positive, nurturing environment for the holistic growth of children, particularly in shaping their values and conduct in later life. He encouraged parents to work closely with the school in nurturing these essential qualities.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest, Neetu Mariam Chacko, a renowned and distinguished psychiatrist, spoke on the theme “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body.” She shared two vital lessons on nurturing children—urging parents to be strong role models, as children learn far more through observation than through spoken words, and to remain emotionally available, highlighting that emotional presence and connection are crucial for a child’s mental and emotional well-being.
The tiny graduates captivated the audience with a series of delightful performances, showcasing their enthusiasm and confidence. A heartwarming highlight was the children's soulful rendition of a timeless Bollywood melody, leaving the audience spellbound by its innocence and purity.
The programme was confidently anchored by young student anchors, while LKG students won hearts with their breathtaking dance performances. The Rising Star Awards and Inter-School Sports Championship Awards recognised young achievers for their exceptional growth and accomplishments, with parents joining their children on stage in proud and emotional moments.
The highlight of Udaan 2026 was the graduation ceremony, where the young graduates proudly received their graduation certificates amidst loud applause and cheers. Heartfelt messages from kindergarten teachers reflected immense pride in each child’s journey.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Vice Principal, Sushmeeta Prakash. The school congratulates all its little graduates and wishes them a future filled with curiosity, confidence, and success.
