The Indian Community School, Senior Invests 228 Student Leaders for the Academic Year 2026–27
The Indian Community School, Senior witnessed a proud and inspiring occasion on Monday, 25th May 2026, as the Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2026-27 was conducted with grandeur, dignity and enthusiasm. The ceremony marked a significant occasion of leadership, responsibility, and the beginning of a promising journey for 228 young student leaders.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Sharad Trivedi, CEO, Telecommunications Consultants India Limited, along with the distinguished Special Guests, Mr. Ram Singh, DGM, Telecommunications Consultants India Limited and Mr. Manish Rathor, AGM, Telecommunications Consultants India Limited. The dignitaries were accorded a vibrant and heartfelt welcome by the school community.
As the newly elected Senate members marched proudly onto the stage carrying their respective house flags, the atmosphere brimmed with energy, pride and hope. The programme commenced with the soulful recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Master Ahmed Shoukat, followed by a heartfelt prayer song presented by the school choir, Swaranjali. The gathering then respectfully honored the National Anthem of Kuwait.
Setting the tone for the occasion, Mrs. Susan Rajesh, Vice Principal of ICSK Senior, welcomed the gathering with inspiring words. In her address, she urged the students to uphold the core values of the institution — resilience, discipline, respect, and integrity. She also reminded the young leaders of the responsibility that accompanies leadership by quoting, ‘Heavy is the head that wears the crown.’
The event was further enriched by a traditional welcome dance presented with elegance and grace by the students.
The ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Mr. Sharad Trivedi, accompanied by Dr. V. Binumon, Principal and Senior Administrator of ICSK, marked the formal inauguration of the ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest congratulated the newly elected School Senate and advised them to uphold the trust and confidence of the school community. He emphasized that leadership is about listening, understanding, and working together, while also highlighting the importance of perseverance and hard work in achieving success.
Adding ceremonial grandeur to the event, the House Mentors of Achievers — Mr. Sunderesh, Mrs. Jegatha, and Mrs. Reenu; Leaders — Mr. Iilyas, Ms. Nazima Tailor, and Mrs. Shiby Mol; Winners — Mr. Mohd. Haris, Ms. Stella Gama Philip, and Mr. Rizwan; and Victors — Mr. Vijay, Mrs. Sreeshma, and Mr. Murtaza Ali — were honoured with badges by the Chief Guest. This was followed by the official investiture of the young Senate members, who were entrusted with guidelines outlining their duties and responsibilities as student leaders. Dr. V. Binumon administered the oath of office, binding the leaders to a commitment of service, dedication, and excellence. It was indeed a proud and memorable moment for parents, teachers, and students alike as 228 students were formally appointed as torchbearers of the School Senate.

As a token of love and gratitude the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Sharad Trivedi was presented a memento by Dr. V. Binumon. The occasion was further enriched by a soulful musical performance by Miss Esther.
The event also featured a mesmerizing dance performance titled “Jwala – The Fire of Knowledge” presented by the students, captivating the audience with its vibrancy, rhythm, and powerful expression. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by the Head Girl of the School Senate, Miss Punya Prajeesh.
Guided by Senate Advisor Mrs. Jesha Alex, HOD Chemistry, and Mrs. Nimmy Gopinath, Department of Biology, the newly elected Senate team now stands ready to inspire change, uphold the cherished traditions of the institution, and lead ICSK Senior towards new heights of achievement and excellence.
The Investiture Ceremony of 2026–27 was not merely a celebration of leadership - it was a promise of a bright, inspiring, and empowered future.
