ICSK KHAITAN CELEBRATES TEACHERS’ DAY: A HEARTFELT TRIBUTE TO THE TEACHING FRATERNITY

1 11zon 8 11zonThe Indian Community School Kuwait- Khaitan celebrated Teachers’ Day on Thursday, 3rd September 2026, with enthusiasm, warmth, and gratitude, paying a heartfelt tribute to the teaching fraternity for their unwavering dedication, guidance, and contribution to the lives of students. The celebration was held in honour of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice-President and second President of India, whose birth anniversary is observed as Teachers’ Day in India on 5th September. The programme was organized and executed by the CBSE and IGCSE Senate members, in collaboration with the students of Classes 11 and 12.

As part of a cherished school tradition, the senior students stepped into the roles of student teachers, taking over classroom responsibilities for the day with confidence and dedication. Adding a significant leadership dimension to the occasion, School Senate President Master David Mathew Samuel and Vice President Master Ayman Mohammed took on the roles of Acting Principal and Acting Vice Principal respectively, taking charge of the school’s administrative responsibilities. Their leadership and the active participation of the student teachers reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing responsibility, initiative, confidence, and leadership among its senior students.

The special assembly commenced with a solemn Islamic Prayer, setting a respectful tone for the celebrations. The student comperes then welcomed the gathering and conducted the programme with energy and confidence. The morning’s festivities began with engaging interactive challenges and games, creating an atmosphere of excitement and participation. This was followed by a captivating live band performance and an energetic dance performance by the Class 12 students, which emerged as one of the highlights of the morning. The celebration continued with special surprise segments planned by the Senate to make the teachers feel truly appreciated. The light-hearted “Guess Who? – Teacher Edition” brought moments of laughter as teachers were identified through amusing clues and anecdotes, followed by an elegant Faculty Fashion Walk. The cultural segment continued with impressive fusion dance performances by the Class 11 and IGCSE student groups, showcasing creativity and teamwork.

One of the most heartfelt moments of the celebration was the Teacher Awards, thoughtfully planned by the students to recognize and appreciate their teachers. Through these special awards, the students celebrated the unique qualities of their teachers, making the segment a sincere and joyful expression of their love and gratitude.

Adding further excitement to the occasion, Al Ansari Exchange organized a special lucky draw for the teachers, with six fortunate winners receiving attractive prizes. The celebration was further sweetened by Malabar Gold, which provided a special Teachers’ Day cake, adding a delightful touch to the joyous occasion.

The Principal K. Gangadhar Shirsath delivered an inspiring address, appreciating the dedication of the teaching fraternity and commending the senior students for their initiative, leadership, teamwork, and exceptional organizational skills.

He also extended his sincere gratitude to Al Ansari Exchange and Malabar Gold for their generous support and thoughtful contribution towards making the celebration even more special. Their kindness and goodwill added to the joy of the occasion and made the Teachers’ Day celebrations truly memorable.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the School Senate President Master David Mathew Samuel. The Teachers’ Day celebration served as a sincere expression of love, respect, gratitude, and admiration for the teaching fraternity.
