FMUN 2026: FAIPS Celebrates New Milestone in its Legacy of Diplomacy and Leadership

Fahaheel Al-Watanieh Indian Private School (FAIPS) successfully hosted the 11th edition of the Inter-School FAIPS Model United Nations (FMUN 2026) on the 18 and 19 September 2026. Setting a new benchmark for the institution, the conference welcomed a record 140 delegates from 14 leading schools across Kuwait, marking the largest turnout in the event’s history. Over the two-day conference, the campus transformed into a dynamic hub of intellectual exchange, fostering diplomacy, collaboration, and leadership among the nation's youth.

Throughout the event, committee rooms became spaces of vigorous debate and negotiation. Rather than relying on prepared speeches, delegates immersed themselves in rigorous sessions that demanded deep research, cross-aisle negotiation, and quick responses to evolving global crises. The delegates showcased remarkable adaptability and critical thinking across six specialized committees:

  • United Nations Security Council (UNSC), directed by Hamza Hozefa Fakhruddin
  • Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC), directed by Harsh Sujit Wankhade
  • International Court of Justice (ICJ), directed by Akshay Vrindavan Rahul
  • International Monetary Fund (IMF), directed by Kezia Susan Sajan
  • Special Political and Decolonization Committee (SPECPOL), directed by Kushagra Juneja
  • Midnight Crisis Committee (MCC), directed by Aibel Praveen Pamplany

This massive undertaking was executed with precision under the leadership of Secretary-General Pearl Dsouza and Deputy Secretary-General Aibel Praveen. Their efforts were bolstered by dedicated faculty members Ms. Rajula Raja, Ms. Smitha Raj Vineed, Ms. Vimala Shibu, and Ms. Smriti Saha, under the steadfast guidance of Head Mistress Ms. Harvinder Anand.

The diplomatic proceedings were bookended by an elegant Opening Ceremony on Friday and a grand Closing Ceremony on Saturday, graced by Chief Guest Ms. Delphine Vallier, Principal of the International British School. The closing event celebrated the outstanding achievements of the participants, culminating in the Indian Community School Kuwait Senior claiming the Overall Best Delegation Trophy.

Following a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Smitha Raj Vineed, FAIPS Principal Mr. Ravi Ayanoli commended the Secretariat, the Organizing Committee, and all participants for their unwavering commitment. He reaffirmed FMUN’s enduring role as a premier platform for empowering students to engage with global affairs while honing essential skills in public speaking, negotiation, and leadership.
