Prawn Jalfrezi

8 big prawns
10 tsp oil
2 tsp jeera
10 tsp chopped ginger
10 tsp chopped garlic
10 chopped green chillies
2½ cup onion chopped into square shaped pieces
1½ cup tomato chopped into square shaped pieces
1 cup capsicum chopped into square shaped pieces
5 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp garam masala powder
½ cup chopped coriander leaves


Clean and devein the prawns. Remove the shells too.
Heat some oil, splutter some jeera and sauté the chillies, ginger and garlic
Once the raw smell is gone, add the chopped onions, tomatoes and capsicum to this and sauté again
Add the chilli powder and garam masala powder
Once the masala gets cooked, add some water
Add the prawns
Close the lid and cook the prawns on a low fire for 5 minutes
Do not overcook the prawns, it will give the them a rubbery taste
