Tree Planting Event under “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” Campaign at Abraj Park, Adailiya, Kuwait (19 September 2026)
1. The Embassy of India in Kuwait, in association with ARMS4U, organised a tree planting event under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (Plant 4 Mother) campaign at Abraj Park, Adailiya Block 4, Kuwait, on 19 September 2026
2. The initiative brought together community members and partners with the shared objective of honouring mothers—our own mothers as well as Mother Earth—through a meaningful act of planting trees. The event underscored the importance of collective efforts in promoting environmental protection, sustainable urban spaces and a greener Kuwait.
3. The “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, a unique initiative combining environmental responsibility with a heartfelt tribute to mothers, was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 5 June 2024, on the occasion of World Environment Day. Since its launch, the campaign has been taken up across India and in various countries around the world, including Kuwait.
4. Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Tripathi highlighted the importance of community participation in advancing environmental sustainability and encouraged continued efforts towards creating greener and healthier public spaces. She noted that initiatives of this nature not only contribute to the local environment but also foster a spirit of shared responsibility and strengthen community engagement.
5. The tree planting initiative also complemented the Embassy’s broader efforts in the spirit of Special Campaign 6.0, being undertaken by the Government of India to promote Swachhata, environmental sustainability, greener public spaces and community participation. The initiative reflected the campaign’s emphasis on environment-friendly practices and collective civic responsibility.
6. The event reflected the strong spirit of community participation and collaboration in Kuwait, with ARMS4U and around 30 community associations joining the initiative. It was also attended by Mr. Meshari Abdulaziz AlDuhaim, Senior Manager, KIPCO. The active participation of diverse community organisations highlighted the importance of collective efforts in fostering environmental awareness, sustainability and the creation of greener public spaces. The collaboration between the Embassy of India, Kuwait, ARMS4U and participating community associations reaffirmed the shared commitment towards environmental responsibility and building a greener, more sustainable Kuwait.
7. The Embassy of India appreciates the support and cooperation of ARMS4U in organising the event and encourages continued community-led initiatives under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, contributing to a greener and more sustainable Kuwait.
