         IES Bids Farewell to Twelfth Graders with a Bouquet of  Blessings 

453A0926 11zonThe annual farewell function is a day devoted to celebrating an important milestone in students' lives. Students are congratulated for reaching the finishing line of a long marathon and blessings are showered on them for their future endeavours. Most of all, it is a time of unrestrained optimism. Indian Education School, Kuwait, organised a grand farewell function, ‘Shubhashisha 2023’, on Saturday, 11th February 2023 for the outgoing students of grade 12.  

The auspicious occasion held in the school auditorium, commenced at 5:30 p.m. with the soulful rendition of a prayer song by Ms. Irene Sara Biju of grade12F. Mr. Binoy Mathew, Vice Principal of Middle Wing, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed gathering, wishing the young stalwarts a bright future. Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon, Chairman of Bhavans Middle East, blessed the students and wished them the very best for the CBSE Board Examinations. He advised the students to always be grateful  towards the ‘3 G’s (pithaG, mathaG and guruG). He insisted the students to stay focused on their goals in life, look after themselves, and remain good human beings. 

Mr. T. Premkumar, Principal of IES, Kuwait, blessed the students and praised them for their endurance and efforts displayed by braving the pandemic and coming out stronger. He also stated that many of the students of the present  outgoing batch would soon accomplish greater feats and break the records set in the sands of Arabia. Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar, Vice Principal of Senior Wing, conveyed her best wishes to the charismatic young minds and requested them to always be good ambassadors of their alma mater, by being kind to others and allowing the words of God to guide them on their journey to greatness. She encouraged them to think big and think positively. 

The prefects representing the student community, Kevin Raymond Lawrence of 12 A, Sandheep Muthiah Suresh of 12 B, Leah Elsa Philip of 12 C, Aaron Varughese Mele of 12 D, Alex George Viljo of 12 E, and Adityan Binu Bhanu of 12 F, expressed their fond memories with gratitude that helped them to mould themselves into young confident individuals. Representing the parent community, Ms. Betsy Elizabeth John, mother of Ethan Bobby Kurien of 12 A, and Ms. Swapna Elizabeth Joseph, mother of Aryan Joe Vurghese of 12 E, lauded the commendable efforts of the school management and the teaching fraternity in ensuring the holistic development of the children by providing a safe and nurturing environment. They wished the outgoing batch of graduates the very best for the forthcoming CBSE Board Examinations and a successful future. 

 

The students were presented with mementoes along with their hall tickets  by the Chairman and the Principal. This was followed by the Bhavans tradition of passing the lighted candles symbolising the assurance of a bright and promising future. As the young graduates stood amidst the soft glow of the illumined auditorium, the principal of IES administered a solemn prayer seeking the blessings of the Almighty for the ensuing board exam. The unveiling of the class photographs by the Senior Leadership Team and the class representatives was a beautiful testament to students’ unity, strength, and growth. 

The memorable occasion emceed by Ms. Hima Nirmal, Coordinator of the Department of English, ended with the vote of thanks by Ms. Hajira Banu, the Head of the Department of Social Science. It is with great pride that the Bhavans family looks forward to seeing its young cynosures become successful pillars of the society by upholding the vision of Bhavans.
