FAIPS DPS- Donning the mantle of Leadership
Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality. In keeping with this old adage, FAIPS- DPS bestows upon its students the ability to be future leaders of the world. The Investiture ceremony provides a platform to display the leadership skills of the students and is the most prestigious ceremony in the schedule of school events. Accordingly, FAIPS organized the solemn ceremony for the newly inducted Senior Student Council, on Tuesday, 31st January 2023 in the Multi- Purpose Hall. The Investiture Ceremony marks a significant beginning in the spirit of unity and collaboration for greater effectiveness.
The hosts for the ceremony, Chandrini Sugumar and Shabbir Vohra, commenced the proceedings with Tahe Al-Kuwait followed by a Quran recital and its translation. The Principal, Mr.Ravi Ayanoli then graced the occasion with the Morning Prayer. A ceremonial March Past by the newly elected Council Members was truly a feast for eyes. It was coordinated by Mr.Veeraiah Gunjevalla of the PE department and all 36 newly appointed members marched with heads held high across the audience.
Nidhir Dambal and Karthik Gopalkrishnan called the students one by one and dignitaries and several departmental in charges pinned the badges to the new members. The council featured the conventional Core Council, a suit of House Captains, a Discipline committee, MUN Directors and IGCSE representatives. The School Flag and the Flags of 6 Houses were handed over by the preceding Senior Student Council.
The Principal once again took time to administer the oath of affirmation to the newly appointed members. While addressing the Council he reminded them about the importance of teamwork, time management and discharging responsibilities inducted upon them by the school. He urged the newly elected members to take responsibility with great zeal and fervor.
The gathering further motivated with the speeches of the outgoing Council Heads who shared their experiences, inspiring the new team. Head Boy Kurian Thomas, Head Girls Christeen Chacko and Niharika Suresh delivered their speeches entrusting the new council of their duties.
The new Head Boys Muhammed Rayhaan, Johan Varghese Sajan and Head Girls Sharon Maria Thomas and Meera Acharya shared their emotions and addressed the audience with great enthusiasm.
The esteemed and solemn ceremony culminated with the singing of the school song and the Indian National Anthem.
