If there is one field that teaches us the most valuable lessons about perseverance, and how patience constitutes a perfect character, it is sports. They can also provide a sense of accomplishment, boost self-esteem, and help us learn how to set goals and strive to achieve them.
On February 9, 2023, the Indian School of Excellence held its first kindergarten sports day, and on February 23, 2023, it held its first primary sports day. The sports day embodied the zeal, talents, and spirit of sportsmanship of the students at ISEK.
The event's main guests were the Director of ISEK, Mrs. Sherly Dennis and Vice Principal Mrs. Bismitha Shamsuddin. The day began with the opening ceremony, which was presided over by the chief guests. She greeted the children and encouraged them to give it their best.
The event started with drills and aerobic dance performances. All participants worked together in harmony and excelled in their teamwork and coordination. The intricate steps and movements were breathtaking to watch, and the synchronized dancing was truly awe-inspiring. It was a joy to witness this remarkable display of talent and athleticism.
Students from various houses competed against one another in a variety of sports. The track and field events began with races like running, frog jumping, obstacles, shuttle relays, hoop running, and throw ball. The students performed admirably in all events, and the winners were awarded medals and certificates of excellence. A friendly match was organized between two groups of ISEK teachers.
The day’s most interesting event was that the school parliamentarians of ISEK had set up a juice corner. The amount collected will be used as a relief fund for the earthquake victims in Turkey. Our students used their pocket money for the right cause.
It was a fantastic day full of fun and sports. The students had a great time, and the school was very proud of their accomplishments.
