HINDI FEST REPORT – SHABD SURABHI 2024
Gulf Indian School proudly hosted ‘ Shabd Surabhi’, Inter-school Hindi Fest on 18 November 2024. This vibrant event saw enthusiastic participation from students representing 14 Indian Schools. Among the esteemed guests were Mrs. Alka Kumra-well known career coach, Mrs. Shweta Porwal, former faculty of Department of Hindi, Mrs. Nazneen Ali Naaz- Senior Finance Manager in Al-Ahli Bank, Kuwait and Mrs. Anupama Chaturvedi-Former Human Resource Manager in Kuwait, who served as judges for the two segments of the fest: SPANDAN- Recitation Competition which was held in two categories for primary and secondary students, ANUBHOOTI-Nukkad Naatak Competition which had participants from classes 8 to 11. The event commenced with an engaging introduction delivered by Mrs. Nupur Sharma (HOD) Department of Hindi, captivating the audience. Mrs. Sarika Manoj, a faculty member from the Department of Hindi at GIS, extended a warm welcome to all attendees and introduced the distinguished guests. The students dazzling Welcome Dance not only highlighted their talent but also celebrated the beauty of Hindi language. Principal Dr. Prashant Vasudev addressed the gathering commending the students for their participation and underscoring the significance of learning Hindi Language and enhance the appreciation for the richness and literary heritage of the Hindi Language. He emphasized that such events provide students with opportunities to showcase their skills, learn from one another, encouraging them to embrace challenges and strive for excellence. The judges were honored with mementos as tokens of appreciation for their contributions. Participants demonstrated their talents through spirited competition. The final session invited all participants to the auditorium, where they received heartfelt congratulations for their enthusiastic involvement. The results of the competitions were announced and winners were presented with trophies, medals and certificates. The event concluded with expressions of gratitude to all who contributed to its success.
