Meet the Professional Programme-November- 2024
The Indian School of Excellence organises “Meet the Professional” programme every month for students of classes 7 to 9. It is an initiative designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the real-world applications of various professions.
The main goal of organising this programme was to expose students to various career paths, help them gain practical insights from professionals in different industries, and inspire them to consider their future career aspirations with a broader understanding of the skills required.
For the month of November, the students had an opportunity to meet and listen to the guest
speaker, Mr. Yogeesha C Jayaramu, who is an Associate Research Scientist in -the Hydrology and Water Resources Management program at the Water Research Centre at the Kuwait
Institute for Scientific Research. He commenced the session by interacting with students, probing questions to their level, and gradually presented his career journey in the field of research.
His presentation included his extensive experiences in remote sensing and geographic information systems, and Marine Environment, which enthralled the student audience and kindled the interest in students, which was evident in the interaction session.
The programme culminated with an interactive Q&A session by our inquisitive bunch of students, who posed thought-provoking questions to gain further insights about the skills and career choices in the field of research.
Mrs. Sherly Dennis, Director of the Indian School of Excellence, extended a hearty welcome to the guest speaker and expressed her gratitude with a token of appreciation for spending his valuable time to shape the pillars of the future.
