GIS CLASS 2 ANNUAL DAY REPORT
Gulf Indian School celebrated the Class 2 Annual Day themed ‘Euphoria’ – A Carnival of Joy with great zest, vibrancy and elation on 10 February 2025 in the school auditorium. The event was honoured by the presence of distinguished Chief Guest Dr. Geetika Ahuja, Principal, Aspire Indian International School, Abbasiya, Kuwait and Special Guest, Mrs Ambika Sreekumar, Vice Principal, New Gulf Indian School, Kuwait. The grand entry of the dignitaries- the Chief Guest - Dr. Geetika Ahuja, Principal, Aspire Indian International School and Special Guest - Mrs Ambika Sreekumar, Vice Principal, New Gulf Indian School, Dr. Prashant Vasudev - Principal Gulf Indian School & GIS Core Leadership Team marked the onset of the magnificent programme. The programme began on a holy note with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Azma Ameen of Class 2. Mrs Nisheela Hakim, Vice Principal KG and Primary welcomed the audience and expressed her gratitude.
The Principal in his address emphasised the Annual Day as a special occasion to celebrate the accomplishments and talents of the students and also acknowledged the year's journey filled with curiosity, discovery, and growth. He spoke to the students, commending their enthusiasm for learning, cheerful engagement and impressive advancement. He also emphasised their unique talents and the positive impact they have on the school community. He recognised the vital importance of parents in the education of their children and expressed gratitude for their ongoing support, active participation and for placing their trust in the school regarding their children's educational experiences. As a token of gratitude, the Chief Guest and the Special Guest were honoured with mementos. The Chief Guest, Dr Geetika Ahuja, commended the students for their outstanding performances, noting that their energy levels were exceptionally high. She appreciated the efforts put in by the students and educators. She discussed the significance of 21st-century skills and appreciated the efforts of teachers in nurturing these competencies in their students. She urged parents to facilitate education through meaningful conversations. Furthermore, she acknowledged the encouraging and passionate demeanour of Dr Prashant Vasudev, Principal of Gulf Indian School, as a pivotal influence in this initiative.
The highlight of the day arrived with a captivating array of Carnival themed performances presented by a spirited group of young artists who displayed their remarkable talents. The performances were vibrant, dynamic, and expertly choreographed leaving the audience mesmerized. The event ended on a grateful note with the vote of thanks by the Vice Principal, Mrs Kala Rajan. The Class 2 Annual Day was a resounding success, providing a platform for students to showcase their talents and celebrate the spirit of joy and togetherness.
